A Strategy for the Development of Community Health

Abstract
|
|
|
With regard to the concept of Saemaul movement and its similarity with that of community health, a development plan for the integration of community health in Saemaul movement is proposed.
The objects of the study are to provide and to create the approach method for valuable practical application for both the health system and the community, and to explore the ways and the means of implementing `health for all strategy. The essential features of this strategy are as follows:
1) Coordination of health and health related services to the socioeconomic development plan of the community.
2) Evaluation and application of
-development of manpower resources,
-enforcement of community organizations, and
-reformation of health care system
prior to the implementation of community development plan.
3) Promotion of dividual and community responsibility and involvement in their own health care and health protection
4) Development of potential capability of people in health
